Behind the brand is a complete ethos that’s as much about people as it is about products. For me, it’s the fulfilment of a lifelong dream.

The idea behind ella georgia is simple: we want to make a difference to people’s lives. We believe that trade, more so than aid, can make the biggest contribution to alleviating poverty. And this is particularly true in the 3rd world countries that provide many of the raw materials, and artisan skills, for the jewellery industry.

Yet, historically, the ‘trade’ has been tarnished with exploitation, of both indigenous peoples and the environment. With ella georgia, our aim is to try and ensure that every component in every piece has been sourced to the highest ethical standards, and hence provides very real and tangible benefits for the producer.

“ella georgia is more about hip than hippy, more about individuality and originality than slavishly following trends.”

Our collections showcase an eclectic mix of styles from faraway places such as Thailand, the Philippines and India. However, you’ll also find the work of up and coming, but as yet undiscovered, British and Irish designers. The business has had a marvellous start largely because of synergy – I’m working with people who are excited about what I am trying to create, and want to help in making it a success. What you won’t find here are any ‘Big Name’ designers! Instead we embrace individuality and originality, and specialise in products by talented makers who place the utmost emphasis on craftsmanship. The result being timeless pieces of rare quality and simplicity.

In addition, if you see an item in our gallery that you would prefer in a different colour or size (or if you have your own design ideas) we would love to make a bespoke piece especially for you. We pride ourselves on being totally flexible wherever this is possible.

Whichever option you go for, you’ll feel good buying it, and look great wearing it … because this really is jewellery with a heart and a conscience; jewellery that says something about your personality, and also about your soul.

Whether you’re buying for yourself, or as a gift for someone special, I’m sure that you’ll find the perfect solution in our galleries. And, when it comes to service, we want your ella georgia experience to be pleasurable and personal from start to finish. To us, you see, our customers are friends. So if you have any questions about our products, ordering or any other matter, just pick up the phone or drop us an e-mail – we’re here to help. We’ll get your purchase to you as speedily as possible. And when it arrives, you’ll find it’s beautifully presented in a specially designed ella georgia gift box.

So, to finish, I hope you enjoy ella georgia jewellery as much as I have enjoyed creating it. We’re adding new pieces all the time, so make sure to revisit this site on a regular basis. And when you drop by, check out the ella georgia blog to keep up with the latest behind-the-scenes news.

Thank you for dropping by…

Hi! I founded ella georgia in 2003 as I wanted to create a special place to buy unique yet affordable jewellery and accessories that are both stylish but also ethically sourced. Since then my passions have remained the same although family and Ella have been added at the top of the list as well as running the business. I have a complete love of the jewellery that we design and the collections from our designers around the world. My philosophy in life is definitely 'half cup full', be happy, laugh lots, love loads and seize the moment. I hope you enjoy this blog and sharing our favourite finds, stories and style tips - hopefully divine inspiration to make you feel good and look great too. Sian
